New from the master of spoof

Chris Chapman is a well known artist who often paints in the style of famous artists with a comical twist.

See the Art of Chris Chapman

Chris has been a successful illustrator since graduating from Leicester College of Art, England in 1979, where he studied graphic design. After moving to London during the early years of his career, he now lives and works in Bournemouth, Dorset.

He currently produces paintings exclusively for the fine art market alongside his commercial illustrations and privately commissioned pieces. His work is humorous and he enjoys creating the visual joke as much as executing the final painting.

He is well known for painting in the style and technique of famous artists and including an observer or character viewing a picture as though in a gallery. These are often with a comical twist and include artists such as Jason Pillock, Fraud Monet, Mandy Warhol, Vincent Van Earoff and LS Lowryish etc

Paul Oz has been commissioned by Instituto Ayrton Senna, The RPA, Team Sky, Jenson Button, Max Chilton, Sir Alex Ferguson, Theo Paphitis, James Hunts family, Sir Bradley Wiggins, Red Bull, Pirelli, Jake Humphrey, Wretch32 and JLS’s Aston among others…. and partnered with galleries, charitable organisations, leading rights holders and motorsport teams worldwide. He is the official licensed artist to James Hunt, Bruce Lee, Star Trek, Denis the Menace, Ali, Mr Men and Little Miss, Thunderbirds – and others who cannot be named !

About 10 years ago when browsing galleries for something bright to adorn the walls of a plain white new build flat and saying ‘I could do that….’ has turned out to be a seminal Oz moment. The ensuing experiments with a 4 pack of acrylics, and quickly rediscovered skill of making a subjectively attractive looking mess, has for sure been a turning point. Painting at weekends as a break from software brand development, my first solo show was in 2008, and I thought I was balancing things pretty well. However…. since focusing on painting full time early 2009, its all gone a little nuts….

Lenny-Cornforth-Original-Paintings

Endlessly enthralled by the Atlantic ocean, Lenny Cornforth takes inspiration from the northern coast of Cornwall, using layers of translucent colour and texture to construct vibrant and emotional paintings evoking the joyful colours of the landscape around her. Working in both oil and acrylic each piece develops gradually, each layer establishing the shapes within the painting.

A keen sailor and surfer, Lenny often draws on her own experiences in the sea, days walking the coastal paths and summers lying in the sand to inform her compositions. Much of her work is based on the Camel Estuary where she learnt to sail.

After graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Fine Art, Lenny has exhibited widely in the UK. Nonetheless she has always been drawn back to Cornwall, where she currently lives near Bodmin with her husband and son, two dogs and 50 Dorset sheep.

Happy 90th Birthday Official Limited Editions

Sir Quentin Blake can tell wonderful stories without a single word, but his partnership with Roald Dahl was made in heaven. The diabolical ingenuity of Dahl came into its own only when he wrote for children and created magical stories that have enthralled generations.

The first book Roald Dahl and illustrator Quentin Blake worked upon together was The Enormous Crocodile. Roald and Quentin soon became firm friends, cementing one of the most eye-catching and distinctive collaborations in children’s literature. Their work has been published in over 40 languages and today are considered modern classics.

This latest release of 9 illustrations are in edition sizes of just 90 in recognition of Sir Quentin Blakes 90th Birthday.
