Paola was born in the beautiful city of Florence in 1970. She trained herself as an artist, working in decoration and window dressing but influenced by her father who was also a painter.

Since the beginning of her professional career, she has been a concerned painter both with the need to renew Italian art and the role of art and the artist in society.

Her paintings can be found in several countries as Germany, UK and USA.

Having started her career in marketing, Lisa has worked in many different roles from Creative Manager to Brand Manager, but now mixes her time as a teacher, mother and artist. She has always needed a creative outlet as a means of relaxation and time out…for her, painting is simply a constant source of joy and happiness.

Having grown up in the rolling hills of Staffordshire, Lisa moved to the Welsh coast to study for a degree in Psychology, and consequently has a dual love for the British countryside and the coastline.

She thrives on seeing the many wondrous views we have around us. In her own words:

“I love the feeling that being in the open air gives me, looking at a beautiful landscape, and I always endeavour to portray that magical feeling in my artwork. For me, it’s not just about what you can see, but also the spectrum of exploding colours you can feel.”

Now living and working in Lincolnshire, Lisa often visits the neighbouring Norfolk coast and the much further Cornish coast for inspiration for her artwork.

Endlessly enthralled by the Atlantic ocean, Lenny Cornforth takes inspiration from the northern coast of Cornwall, using layers of translucent colour and texture to construct vibrant and emotional paintings evoking the joyful colours of the landscape around her. Working in both oil and acrylic each piece develops gradually, each layer establishing the shapes within the painting.

A keen sailor and surfer, Lenny often draws on her own experiences in the sea, days walking the coastal paths and summers lying in the sand to inform her compositions. Much of her work is based on the Camel Estuary where she learnt to sail.

After graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Fine Art, Lenny has exhibited widely in the UK. Nonetheless she has always been drawn back to Cornwall, where she currently lives near Bodmin with her husband and son, two dogs and 50 Dorset sheep.
