Louise Hutton is a multimedia collage artist living in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Her eclectic style is based on feminine beauty and her love of flowers and nature within 16th and 17th century still life paintings, specifically by Dutch masters. Self-taught originally painting portraits, Louise realised that her small occasional early collage pieces were the crowd pleasers, so decided to explore creating further unique artworks and honing her talents within this new genre. Inspired by the likes of Gustav Klimt, the use of gold, copper and silver leaf has become her signature style. Louise is a grass roots artist and only creates her pieces by selecting and hand-cutting each individual element, creating contemporary, ethereal fresco-like artworks. Many of the elements within her artworks have symbolic, spiritual, and mythological meaning.
