Born in South Africa and now based in the United Kingdom, Hamish has been passionate about art since his earliest memories and has always been actively involved in the creative process.
Hamish works in both the sculpture and painting disciplines and draws on his faith for inspiration in every piece of Art.
Gary McNamara has a successful illustration background covering the last 30 years. From the age of 23, Gary has worked freelance as a commercial illustrator for many of the biggest publishing houses in the world, focusing mostly on extremely well-known children’s characters. More recently, Gary has concentrated more on his figurative painting, exploring and experimenting with various mediums to create depth and movement in his work.

Simon Wright was born in West Yorkshire in 1974. From as early as he can remember, he has always been drawing and painting, and it’s been my sole passion all my life.
In his work he try’s to bring the elements of illustration and fine art together to hopefully create a style, which is totally unique and appeals to a varied audience.
He enjoys working from, realistic to abstract and everything in between. He works predominantly in oils and acrylic. He is always grateful that he’s able to make a living out of my love of painting.
Susi Whittaker is the Artist in Residence at Quay Art and is a well known local and national artist. Known particularly for her Irish Terrier and Cornish paintings, her latest paintings feature bright and colourful fish shoals in mixed media.

I have been a professional artist since 1971 and am self taught. A lifetime love of boats and the sea brought me to the south coast, where I now live and work.
