Superb original paintings from Spanish artist Cortes. He has developed an impressionist style, with a range of very neutral and elegant colours that create an atmosphere in his intimate paintings. More recently, Cortes has brought his technique into a bolder, brighter and more contemporary genre of sailing – full of energy and dynamism.
He has participated in collective and private exhibitions, obtaining great admiration for the way he handles oil paint, a favourite material and that very few landscape painters manage to master with the simplicity which he shows.
New original paintings from David James in his unique distinctive style.
He currently lives in Sussex on the coast, within reach of the South Downs. He is married to an artist and has three children. Much of the inspiration for his work is drawn from the Lake District, Devon and Cornwall, and the Welsh Countryside. David has exhibited his works at the Royal Academy and in leading provincial galleries.
Ewa Czarniecka’s work lies somewhere between Abstract and Impressionism, gesturing at shapes and figures while capturing light and reflections with loose brush strokes. Her work is often heavily textured with bright colours and demonstrates fantastic depth.
Ewa enjoys the creativity of playing with what people can see. She strives to capture the feeling in that moment rather than the literal reality, for her this is a massively liberating and emotional experience.

A well known artist in her native Czech Republic, working from her studio in Prague. Veronika has a distinctive style of painting. Her technique of layering acrylic paint, often using gold and silver leaf, creates an almost abstract style yet producing a recognisable cityscape.
Sean Durkin is a very popular artist who paints in the style of LS Lowry. Even more remarkable is his father, who famously stole L.S. Lowry’s painting of the Old Town Hall from Middlesbrough Art Gallery. This was in protest at the gallery’s closure on a Sunday, which he considered prohibitive to working-class access to art. Sean now acknowledges his father and this story by always including a figure of a policeman and a robber as well as showing the time ( ten to two ) when the theft was discovered on any clocks in all of his paintings.
He has also produced a book based on the memoir of his grandfather, Peter Durkin, growing up in interwar Middlesborough which is brought to life through Sean’s illustrations of the names and places he depicts in his artwork. A copy of this book – The Most Famous Man On Marsh Road – is included free with every original painting or limited edition purchased from us.
Simon Wright was born in West Yorkshire in 1974. From as early as he can remember, he has always been drawing and painting, and it’s been his sole passion all my life.
In his work he try’s to bring the elements of illustration and fine art together to hopefully create a style, which is totally unique and appeals to a varied audience.
