New original seascape paintings in a contemporary and atmospheric style from David James.
David currently lives in Sussex on the coast, within reach of the South Downs. He is married to an artist and has three children. Much of the inspiration for his work is drawn from the Lake District, Devon and Cornwall, and the Welsh Countryside. David has exhibited his works at the Royal Academy and in leading provincial galleries.
A well known artist in her native Czech Republic, working from her studio in Prague. Veronika has a distinctive style of painting. Her technique of layering acrylic paint, often using gold and silver leaf, creates an almost abstract style yet producing a recognisable cityscape.
Alberto Martinez will be in the gallery from 12 – 2 pm on Saturday 3rd December with our original painting Black Tor. This was especially commissioned for Quay Art and we worked over 3 months in collaboration with Alberto to produce this unique work.
He has created a highly colourful picture in his inimitable style. It is full of Padstow, Rock and Cornish features with strong links to the local area, as well as the occasional reference to his Cuban roots !
The original painting will be displayed for the first time on this day when customers will be able to discuss the work in more details with the artist himself.

A Face In The Sand is a new original painting from artist Paola Cassais. She has featured her unique individual beach figures which she is becoming well known for. Paola has creatively positioned the beach figures to collectively form the image of a face. This has resulted in a wonderful example of the work of this exciting new artist.

One of the UK’s best selling artists, Allan Morgan has a unique recognisable style and a much appreciated range of paintings. Allan is inspired by his love of light, colour and atmosphere in landscape. He has recently extended his style to encompass a more “colourist” approach. Influences in Allan’s paintings are varied and include the Pre-Raphaelites, fauvists and impressionists. Having formerly spent many years living near the coast, he regularly returns to this subject matter.
