A versatile artist with a unique style

Leigh began to draw and paint from a very early age, in fact as soon as he could hold a pencil or paint brush. As he progressed through his school years his attention to detail in his drawings and paintings became very apparent and is subsequently one of characteristics that makes his work so distinctive.

His inspiration for his early paintings came from his childhood interests, including landscapes, and in later years from his “canny knack” to capture a view, usually with a very interesting building being the focal point. You could say that Leigh is a self taught artist and has always had an amazing talent for drawing and painting as he left school with no formal art qualification.

Special JJ Sculpture and Art Limited Editions

“It’s Not Cheap” is the first 3D Sculpture artwork by JJ Adams.

The London Punk has been designed and fabricated by JJ himself – before being hand-painted individually. The character is then securely mounted to a London / Rule Britannia style canvas print that has been created especially for this new artwork. The entire piece is then fitted into purpose made shadow box frame – with matt black interior inserts and finished in a wide, contemporary black moulding profile. As a subtle and cool addition to the piece, all artworks have had the glass spray painted in bright pink graffiti aerosol where the Punk is holding out his spray can.

“Closed-Downing Street” is a special election edition in JJ’s inimitable style. Reasonably fitting and not a little satirical in nature of its comical composition, (considering the bumpy road the relatively useless government had been on for the the past year or two), never has a new release been so appropriate !!

Strong Women and Colourful Dockland Characters

Terry Bradley was born in Belfast in 1965. His early life was spent growing up just off the notorious Shankill Road where his mother tried to keep him inside and away from the “Troubles” outside their front door.

He creates iconic pictures exploring the voyeuristic side of his nature that he first discovered as a child observing the dangerous world around him.  His work mostly centres on strong women and ex models in Dublin and more recently Paris. His latest work is inspired by the era of the Belle Époque in France and the contrasts and similarities with the Burlesque dancers of New York.

He has also recently started exploring the colourful characters from the Belfast dockland area know as Sailortown. At its heyday 100years ago the dock workers were famous around the world for their hard drinking and hard working attitude. Bradley finds that these paintings now balance the world of burlesque women that he paints.

Bradley is married with three children and lives and works in Ireland.
