New Wildside Series based on Real Frogs

We are delighted to announce the first official release of the exciting new Wildside  Series, a collection of sculptures portraying the actual appearance of the species.

“Chauncey,” an edition variation of “Zorro,” bears the realistic markings of the red-eyed tree frog. This is a most recognizable species known for its vivid coloration and its large, bright red eyes. The remarkable patina clearly mimics the distinctive neon green body, orange- colored feet and blue stripes on the side. A New Signature Collection Bronze Sculpture

Hermes is the third sculpture to be released in the Frogman Signature Collection and draws inspiration from Greek mythology and architecture. 

A mythical, winged frog, bearing the classic Frogman “old-school” patina, balances atop the capital of an archetypal Corinthian column, preparing for flight. To emphasize the significance of wings as a motif in mythology, the upper surface of the wings are highly polished to a rich, golden finish.

The Corinthian-style column is offered in a choice of two options- a waxed antique brown and a speckled, stone-like waxed patina – with either patina masterfully replicating the elements and finishes associated with classical statuary.

Hermes is Tim Cotterill’s homage to ancient mythology’s continued influence on modern culture.

A special bronze frog release

Timm Hilty, a longtime, passionate purveyor of FROGMAN, passed away recently at the very young age of fifty-two. Timm (aka “Double M”) had a reputation for providing his staunchly loyal collector base with oddly numbered show editions and unapologetically flamboyant patinas.

Accordingly, it is in that spirit, to honor Timm’s memory, FROGMAN introduces the decidedly flamboyant, “Double M.” A portion of the proceeds from the sale of “Double M” will be donated to The American Heart Association, in Timm’s memory. We sincerely believe that Double M would be pleased.
